The game got off to a great start with the popular closed beta, but since Valorant has been released as the full game, its popularity is starting to subside. While the number of hours the game has streamed on Twitch has gone down, many people still are enjoying it. However, fans are waiting for the competitive system to finally come to the first-person shooter.

With the first official Valorant tournament announced, fans are wondering when they will get to experience competitive play in the full game. While Valorant had a ranked system in its closed beta, it wasn’t released right away. Riot Games took to Twitter to let fans know that the ranked system would take a little longer to implement than the company originally anticipated.

Riot is currently working to fix some bugs that were brought to their attention after the latest patch for the Americas. While the patch bugs have been fixed for some people, Riot Games is still working to solve the issues for all players. The latest Valorant patch notes say that the ranked system will come out for the game before the next patch, but there is no official date that the competitive mode will be added. In Riot Games’ Tweet, the company estimated that ranked matches may go online in another day or two barring any more unforeseen bugs being discovered.

With the new changes coming to Valorant, fans have a lot to look forward to in the near future. Riot Games has a lot on their plate, with the first-person shooter due to the rampant cheaters continuing to affect the gameplay, review bombs from CS:GO players, and testing the game for a potential console port, but hopefully, players will get the chance to see their skills ranked against others soon.
