Not everything in this game is explained, and some of the items don’t work as modern JRPG players might expect. One of these items is the Artifact called the Holy Grail, an item found in Chapter 2 of the Square Enix rerelease of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth.

The Holy Grail in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Toward the end of the second Chapter of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, players will enter the location called the Salerno Academy. After defeating the Harpies, players can climb the vines to get to three treasure chests. The first one has a Holy Grail in it, and then Lenneth will have the option to either send the item to Odin or keep it for herself. Sending artifacts to the Lord Odin is a big part of the deep lore of this JRPG. If players choose to keep this item, which is the way to go, it will go into the player’s inventory and sit there.
If players of this cinematic JRPG try to interact with it in their inventory, they will notice that nothing happens. So players may be interested in figuring out how to use this item, as well as the Golden Goose which cannot be used.
How Does the Holy Grain Work for Lenneth?
After completing Chapter 2, players might notice a new item in their inventory: the Holy Drop. The Holy Grail creates one of these items every time a new Chapter begins. There are only a total of 8 Chapters in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, which means that players will get six of these. And Holy Drops are one of the best items players can get in this game based loosely on Norse Mythology.
If a player uses this item on a character in the game, it will add up to 20 points to each stat. This is fantastic for any melee character; giving a boost like this to mage-type characters, who rely mostly on just two stats, will mostly be a waste. Feed these to whatever einherjar players plan to keep using. Players will also get another item that can boost stats by 10 which is the Golden Egg.
If players of this turn-based RPG happen to come across a second Holy Grail, they will not get a second Holy Drop every Chapter, so they would do well to transmute it instead into something more useful.
How to Pass Evaluations
If players are worried about keeping their evaluation scores high enough while keeping all of Odin’s artifacts every Chapter, not to worry. The best way to keep Lenneth in Odin’s good graces while keeping all the loot is to give him a high-value soul every Chapter in this PlayStation RPG game.
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation Portable.
