The Endings of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth

There are a total of three endings possible for Square Enix’s Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth; here are the three endings:

Ending A - The Best Ending or the True Ending Ending B - The Easy Ending or the Normal Ending Ending C - The Bad Ending

It is nearly impossible to get Ending A on accident; it is a very precise maneuvering of events, certain difficulty levels, and getting recruitable characters in certain ways. However, getting the easy ending doesn’t require much of anything on the player’s part except playing through this cinematic JRPG.

Getting Ending B in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth

In order to get this ending, players do not have to do anything special. This ending can be found in any difficultly level, unlike Ending A, which requires playing on either Normal or Hard Mode.

Once player have gotten to Chapter 8, they just need to complete Jotunheim Palace and fight Surt, the King of Vanir. After players defeat the ultimate bad guy, Freya will inform the Valkyrie that her job is done. She has rest to take, wounds to heal, and, unbeknownst to the audience, memories to forget. While not as bad as Ending C, this JRPG does give the heroine quite a cruel ending. The game will then inform players that this isn’t all there is to it.

However, much like the complex endings of other JRPGs, to get the best ending in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is no easy feat, and it will require that players follow a strict line of play involving changing Evaluation and Seal Values and other manipulations to the story. But for now, players can rejoice; they have completed this old-school RPG and have defended the world from the apocalypse at the hands of Surt and his Vanir warriors.

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation Portable.
