Players will have to basically start the game over from scratch, following a guide closely for each chapter to guarantee this ending. It is nearly impossible to get Ending A on accident.

Ratings in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
There are several different stats that players will have to keep track of in order to get through Square Enix’s sleeper Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. While Evaluation levels are imperative to ending C, Ending A requires keeping an eye on a different stat entirely: the Seal Rating. In order to get the true ending:
Players need to play on Normal or Hard (cannot get this ending on Easy). In Chapter 3 or later, meet Brahms in his castle. In Chapter 4, kill Lezard. In Chapter 5, recruit both Mystina and Lucian as Einherjar. Before Chapter 7, give Lucian to Valhalla and ensure he has the right Hero Value to survive until Sacred Phase 6-7. In Chapter 7, ensure Lenneth has a low Seal Rating (less than 38). In Chapter 8, head to the Weeping Lily Meadow.
If all of these requirements are met, players will know they have done it by Chapter 7 of this old-school JRPG; they will get a special cutscene with Lucian and Freya will give them a different mission than the normal route of Chapter 7.
How to Check the Seal Rating
In order to make sure Lenneth is on the right track to having a low Seal Rating in Square Enix’s Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, they can keep tabs on it by checking regularly throughout the game. In order to access it, click the Triangle button to access the menu, then head to the character status option. Choose Lenneth, and look at her stats. Where the Hero Value usually is on this menu, players will see a Seal value instead.
Until Chapter 7, a player’s Seal Value won’t matter at all. Also, they don’t have to worry about the Seal Value after getting the cutscene in Chapter 7. However, there are some things players can do to ensure the value will be low enough to trigger this ending in Chapter 7. Some things that lower the Seal Rating over the game are:
Removing the Nibelungen Ring during a Sacred Phase. Recruiting any soul that is not Lorenta or Lyseria. Just visiting the Weeping Lily Meadow for the first time. Head to Gerabellum before getting Lucian. Going to Brahms’ place and seeing him. Killing Lezard.
There are a number of things players can also do that will raise their Seal Value, including:
Sending any soul to Valhalla. Wearing the Nibelungen Ring.
Guaranteed Way to Get Ending A in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Valkyrie Profile game fan tri-Ace Fanboy wrote a 100% guaranteed way to reach the true ending. It begins with the very start of the game til the ending. Here are the steps to make sure players get it on the first try:
Start in Normal or Hard mode. This guide was written for the PS1 version, but this also works for the PS4 and PS5 port of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth In Chapter 1, send a soul to Valhalla. Do not visit the Weeping Lily Meadow or Gerabellum until Chapter 4. In Chapter 2, send a soul to Valhalla. In Chapter 3, visit Brahms’ Castle without seeing Brahms. Send a soul to Valhalla. Have at least one hero at Hero Value level 80 with one level in the Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth skill called Trick. In Chapter 4, send the hero with Hero Value level 80 with one level in Trick. This should give players a seal rating of 100 so far. Recruit Aelia. Use Spiritual Concentration and head to Flenceburg. Recruit Lorenta, then defeat Lezard. Make sure to have a separate save available just in case this dungeon is too difficult for Lenneth; she will need the best team in Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for this fight. After getting rid of Lezard, head to Gerabellum and then Weeping Lily Meadow. After that, go to Brahms’ Castle and make sure to meet him this time. Remove the Nibelungen Ring. In Chapter 5, go to Flenceburg and Gerabellum to pick up both Mystina and Lucian. Recruit Shiho, Jayle, Badrach and Grey. In Chapter 6, send Lucian. In Chapter 7, make sure Lenneth gets the different cutscene. Give Odin a soul to make sure Lenneth’s Evaluation score doesn’t go too low. In Chapter 8, visit the Weeping Lily Meadow.
