Jenna Ortega is a young American actress who recently became especially famous on the internet for her role as Wednesday Addams in the hugely successful comedy-horror series, Wednesday on Netflix. On a recent YouTube livestream, Valkyrae revealed a new hairstyle to her fans, who instantly decided to tease her by leaving comments which suggested that her new look bears a striking resemblance to Jenna Ortega.

Bothered by the constant comments, the streamer finally decided to comment about the comparison in a new YouTube video, in which she mentioned that while she personally does not believe she looks anything like Wednesday Addams, she can understand why people say so: “The amount of people who’ve said I look like Jenna, Jenna, right? The Wednesday Addams girl?” The content creator then suggested that the reason her admirers frequently seemed to compare her to Jenna Ortega was due to the fact that they both had long dark hair and bangs: “I just wanna say, I don’t see it, but I think it’s because I have dark hair and I got bangs, so I feel like that is enough for me to look like her.” Valkyrae then went on to say: “And you know, I guess if some people see it, it is what it is.”
Fans quickly reacted to her response. Some completely agreed with her viewpoint, while others were still convinced that the two Internet personalities look exactly the same, some even going as far as to jokingly suggest that the pair might be long-lost siblings. Another fan even suggested that Valkyrae should completely embrace the idea and play into the comparison by doing a cosplay as Wednesday Addams. That idea might not be too far-fetched, seeing how the streamer actually used to dress up in the past as popular fictional characters, such as Power from Chainsaw Man.
Regardless of the fans’ opinions about her appearance, Valkyrae could very well use these comparisons in order to promote her YouTube channel and gain more popularity amidst the Wednesday fever. This might be a very smart move considering that Wednesday is slated for a second season after its record-breaking success on the American streaming platform. Valkyrae’s YouTube channel currently has over 3.82 million subscribers, while her Twitch channel has amassed more than 1.1 million followers.
