The reason why the repeating map issue is a “bug” is that there’s nothing actually broken in Valorant. Maps repeating is just a consequence of how Valorant chooses maps for each match. To the best of players’ knowledge, Valorant uses simple randomization to pick maps. The result is that sometimes, rarely, players will get the same map over and over again. As fun as Valorant may be regardless of the map, Riot obviously wants to keep things fresh as much as possible to keep players invested....
