In a new post on the official Steam page, it looks as though Valve will be adding a new feature which will allow people to give feedback on the Steam Deck. Specifically, the company is interested in player experience in terms of verified games, with the aim to gather data on whether gamers feel the device, and the games compatible with it, are “working well.” The post goes on to say that the purpose of this feedback is to not necessarily change compatibility, but to see whether or not the system is currently functioning within the company’s, and its user base’s, expectations....

After having fixed the Omen Ultimate on Icebox bug, the developers now have two new bugs being exploited in Valorant to deal with. In a Valorant dev diary, Riot Games confirmed that the game’s server tick-rate is 128hz. A server’s tick-rate is the rate at which the server updates the game’s state, and a rate of 128hz means that the server can do this 128 times a second. In comparison, Overwatch’s servers have had a tick-rate of 63hz since 2016 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s tick-rate is 64hz, though players have petitioned developer Valve to update that to 128....

As far as both Competitive and Unrated game modes in Valorant are concerned, players are not exactly allowed to select their map of choice. The maps one gets queued into are selected at random. Every time there is a new Valorant map release, Riot makes it a point that players get to have as much game time on the map as possible. When Icebox was released, Riot created a matchmaking algorithm so that players queuing up for unrated will get put on Icebox more often....

Speaking to Polygon, Valorant’s executive producer Anna Donlon confirmed that the game won’t have loot boxes but it will have other forms of microtransactions. Just like Riot Games’ other title, League of Legends, Valorant will sell cosmetic items such as weapon skins and sprays.
